July is here. Barbecues, fireworks, and soaring temperatures. I have secured a summer job with the Wild Water Rafting Company on the Chattooga River in Long Creek, SC. We are 10 miles from the Georgia border, on the same river in which the movie “Deliverance” was filmed. Indeed, the local accents are as amazing as the rivers!
In these photos you see some of the benefits of the job. Being on the Chattooga is an incredibly beautiful and fun adventure. I am in these photos seated in the back row left of the raft , wearing red and black plaid shorts. I hope to share more posts from this beautiful and quite rural part of our country.
